Under the general direction of the Supervising Tax Auditor III, the Supervising Tax Auditor II through Business Tax Specialists, Audit Staff and Technical Supervisors manages a large group of business taxes specialists, auditors and tax technicians directing the various Teams in the Local Revenue Allocation Unit which report to the STA II. The STA II oversees through the technical supervisor and audit staff the processing of scheduled tax returns insuring allocation and registration compliance within the tight unloading deadlines, insuring accurate and timely allocations, and billings. The STA II is responsible for review of the most complex scheduled sales and use tax returns and adjustments, questions, and fund transfer approvals above threshold limits. The STA II authorizes District Office investigations of local and district tax issues, providing field audit staff with direction and guidance in both LRAU and field audit assignments. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. The position is located in a high-rise building.
