Title: RESEARCH SCIENTIST II (SOCIAL/BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES)
Salary: $5,309.00 - $6,404.00
Under the direction of the Director of Research and Evaluation and administrative supervision of the Deputy Executive Director, the Research Scientist II uses his/her research and mental health expertise to contribute to and lead efforts of the evaluation of the public community-based mental health system, with particular focus on the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) and included adult and children’s systems of care. The Research Scientist II will work with other Research Scientists, Research Program Specialists, the MHSOAC Evaluation Committee, and stakeholders to develop, oversee, and lead evaluations of MHSA components and the public mental health system that have been adopted by the Commission. Duties require high level contact with committee members, other State agencies, county mental health directors, county MHSA coordinators, and various stakeholder organizations. This position will have a focus on development and implementation of systems for continual tracking, monitoring, and evaluating of Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) programs and other services and programs offered via the MHSA and broader systems of care. This position will also lead dissemination efforts and identify/carry out next steps associated with evaluation of these services.
- Masters-level or higher preferred
- Experience with developing, implementing, and evaluating mental health services
