Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager III, the Office Technician (T), exercising a high degree of initiative, independence, and originality, performs a wide variety of the most difficult and complex clerical duties in support of the Contracts and Procurement Sections of the Acquisitions Branch. Independently types and prepares correspondence, maintains electronic records and files; develops and maintains electronic tracking systems. The Office Technician (T) provides procedural support to internal and external customers. The position is located in a high-rise building. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the STD. 678 not more than a two-page typed response to the following questions must be submitted with your application.

1. Describe a situation in which you assisted a customer or client. What level of contact did you have with them? What specific actions did you take to assist the customer or client? What was the end result?

2. Describe the nature of and your experience in maintaining confidential information. Was this information hard copy or electronic? How did you ensure that there was no breach in confidentiality?

3. Describe your experience in preparing electronic reports. Did you prepare this document in Microsoft Excel or in Word? How was this report utilized and who was the recipient?
