The Air Resources Board (ARB or the Board) is a dynamic and innovative leader in setting and implementing controls to protect and improve air quality for the citizens of California. The Board's highly regarded scientific and technical programs rely extensively on computer-based information systems. The Office of Information Systems (OIS) develops, maintains, and manages this information. Systems Development Support Branch (SDSB) applies the latest PC, server, Internet, Web, and mobile technologies to facilitate ARB's mission. The Software Development Section (SDS) develops and maintains many of ARB's most mission critical software applications.
ARB is seeking an experienced SharePoint developer to conceptualize and lead ARB's SharePoint development and support efforts. The SPA will play a key role in SharePoint implementation. The SPA will lead SharePoint site collection and software application configuration and mentor junior developers as the SharePoint team grows. In collaboration with an OIS project manager and business analyst, the SharePoint Developer will develop SharePoint sites and applications using SharePoint Designer, Developer, Visual Studio, MS SQL, and .Net code where needed.
The successful candidate is adept in SharePoint Designer, SharePoint Developer, .Net development, Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server, MS Visio and MS SQL. MS Reporting Services and business analysis skills a plus. The successful candidate communicates clearly and proficiently - verbally and in writing. The ideal candidate is a capable strategist that can conceptualize, develop, and implement a SharePoint program for ARB.
