Job Description:
Under general direction, the Tax Technician III lead oversees the operation of the public counter as well as the most difficult and complex technical duties. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that work is processed timely and orderly, making adjustments to coverage on a daily basis, and providing training. It also includes issuing permits to businesses, handling the full range of account maintenance duties, and conducting taxpayer interviews. The incumbent may issue use tax exemption certificates, process escrow clearances on sales of businesses, handle incoming and released security, and perform reception duties. Tax Tech – The incumbent will receive an additional $100.00 per month pay differential. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. Candidate must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
