Job Description:

The reporting location for this position is the District Trail Coordinator Headquarters located in Point Lobos Ranch State Park. This position will work under the direction of the Monterey District Maintenance Chief. Normal working hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm five days per week. The incumbent has direct oversight responsibility for the Roads and Trail Programs in all four Monterey Sectors and supervises one Permanent Intermittent Skilled Laborer, two Permanent Intermittent Laborers, and up to six seasonal employees as well as contracted California Conservation Crews. The possession of a Certificate showing completion of the California State Parks Trails Training Program, a valid class A or B Commercial Driver’s License and a Basic 32 Wildland Firefighting Certificate are required. This position will be subject to the Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing Program and will receive a 5% CDL differential. State housing is not available.
