Under the general supervision of the Education Administrator, the Office Technician will provide clerical support to the staff in the CALPADS/CBEDS/CDS Operations Office (CCCOO).
Draft, proof, and edit unit letters and memos using complex word processing and formatting
Provide clerical support to CBEDS and CDS unit staff, including filing materials, assisting with mailings, contacting LEA staff, key entry of modifications to data files, and reviewing e-mail listserv delivery reports to resolve failure of delivery notices
Answer phones and appropriately assist or direct callers; monitor the office e-mail account
Independently organize the logistics of meetings, including room reservations, preparing agendas, and compiling materials; participates in staff meetings
Coordinate travel arrangements, including completion and approval of all necessary travel documentation
Process unit mail, order supplies, and monitor unit supply inventory
Maintain time accounting process, including collecting and reviewing timesheets
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong grammar, writing and organizational skills
Strong computer skills, including working knowledge and experience with data management systems
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact well with the public
