Duties Under the direction of the Retail Recruitment Manager, the Key Accounts Specialist is responsible for marketing and promoting Lottery products to retailers and serves as the chain/targeted style business recruiter responsible for soliciting and developing new business. Responsibilities include: Solicit and develop new business as a dedicated program on a statewide basis; research and recruit potential Corporate Key Account Chains, promoting Lottery products and programs; follow –up and obtain signed retail agreements to sell Lottery products; consult with Sales Division management to ensure the availability of Lottery equipment and point of sale materials; coordinate the training and roll out plan for any recruited Key Account Chain; serve as liaison between the Lottery and retailers, working with executive level personnel in the largest retail stores to develop, promote and monitor the sales of Lottery tickets and games; develop and make presentations to executive/corporate personnel to promote Lottery programs; design and conduct presentations and trainings for each new game or game feature; participate in the planning and coordination of statewide or area-wide marketing/advertising programs and establish/implement special promotional programs for particular key accounts; explain advertising/marketing strategy to key account executives, inform key account executives of Lottery policies, practices, and procedure; establish detailed agreements between the Lottery and retailer accounts and monitor these agreements.
Desirable Qualifications Applicants applying for this position should: Possess a valid driver’s license of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Have good written and verbal skills. Have good interpersonal and organizational skills. Be able to travel (including statewide overnight travel).
