Job Description:
Under the general supervision of a Supervising Tax Auditor Ill, the Business Taxes Specialist I (BTS 1), Audit Support Unit is responsible for independently completing assignments of the most complex or sensitive in nature as requested by the Section Supervisor, the Chief, Tax Policy Division and the Deputy Director, Sales and Use Tax Department. The BTS I performs specialized, complex tasks, which includes researching, evaluating, and providing recommendations to sensitive legal and audit issues, as well as acting in a lead capacity and as a highly skilled technical consultant on large complex projects. Position may become permanent if project/workload is permanently established. The position is located in a high rise building. All applicants will be considered however SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
