JOB DESCRIPTION :
The incumbent, under the general direction of the supervisor of the Database Support Section, will be responsible for leading the SQL Server team in administering and supporting FTB's SQL Server Database Management Systems. The incumbent will work closely with business/application areas and other system support staff. Typical job duties include (1) database administration tasks in support of development and production systems (2) technical support in installation and configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting of database and related software (3) resolution of problems resulting from database or applications (4) technical consultation with development staff and management (5) customer support for database requests.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum of two years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration.
Ability and desire to lead, train, and develop staff to support innovative technical pursuits.
Master level experience in SQL Server administration enabling incumbent to direct the most critical/complex projects.
Master level experience in troubleshooting, analyzing and diagnosing complex computer software/hardware issues.
Master level experience with Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server in a virtual environment.
Advanced level of organizational understanding and formulating IT strategy and policy.
Experience in automation of system administration tasks.
Ability to multitask with minimal direction and little or no direct supervision while maintaining excellent customer service.
Ability to work collaboratively with management, peers and subordinates.
Knowledge of ITIL and Project Management Principles.
