The Board of Equalization is looking for a self-starting, collaborative, and team oriented individual, with disaster recovery and strategic planning experience for the Technology Services Department, Strategic Project Office. The strategic and disaster recovery planner works in the Strategic Planning and Analysis Unit, under the direction of the Strategic Project Office Manager.
The successful candidate will serve as a team member or lead in the development and maintenance of the Board of Equalization’s information technology plans including the Strategic Technology Plan, Information Technology Capital Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, and the Technology Service’s Business Resumption Plan. Other duties include, but are not limited to the development and support of: Budget Change Concepts and Budget Change Proposals; Legislative Impact Analysis; preliminary IT cost estimates; manage issues and risk; and cross-train on other Strategic Project Office responsibilities. This position may serve as Project Manager or Project Lead for small to medium scale continuous improvement projects.
Qualified candidates must have the ability to develop an understanding of the Board of Equalization business processes and practices; provide good customer service; demonstrate sound judgment; manage change; provide good oral and written communication; perform analytical thinking; resolve problems; and be flexible and open to change. Experience with Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, and SharePoint 2010 is desired.
