Job advertisement position is currently located in Van Nuys, but will relocate to the Glendale area; moving expenses will not be paid. Under general supervision, the incumbent independently conducts the most difficult and complex audits, typically consisting of the largest industrial corporations; makes audit appointments; meets with taxpayers and their representatives; explains the audit findings; and prepares appropriate audit reports and performs other related duties as necessary. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. This position may be required to rotate into the audit review position.*More than one position may be available*
In addition to the Standard State Application (STD 678) no more than a two-paged typed response to the following questions must be submitted with your application:
1. Describe an audit you recently completed where electronic data was available and provided.
2. Describe a situation when you had a very aged audit, how you dealt with it and completed it.
3. Describe a situation when you had to present your audit report to a difficult and contentious tax manager or representative.
3. Describe something you were a lead on, what it was and what you did.
