Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), Business Services Section, the Staff Services Manager I will supervise and direct the work of analytical staff responsible for Space Planning and Leasing activities in support of the Board of Equalization’s (BOE) 24 offices in throughout California and three out of state offices located in Houston, Chicago and New York. This position will be responsible for oversight of the day to day lease management activities, interior design, construction specifications project oversight and long range facility planning. This position will act as a liaison for the Board of Equalization (BOE) with the Department of General Services Real Estate Services Division, the Division of the State Architect and the State Fire Marshall. This position may be called upon to act in the capacity of the SSM II of the Business Services Section in his/her absence. The incumbent must have strong organizational and interpersonal abilities in addition to being a team player dedicated to providing strong customer service while coordinating multiple projects. Position is located in a high rise building. Travel requires 10% of the time. All applicants will be considered however SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
