Under the direction of the Education Administrator I in the School Turnaround Office (STO) and Staff Services Manager I in the School Turnaround Support Office (STSO) of the Improvement and Accountability Division (IAD), and working cooperatively with program units and supervisors throughout the California Department of Education (CDE), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) provides programmatic staff support to facilitate the operation of the STO. The STSO provides support to the School Turnaround Office (STO). The STO is responsible for interfacing with other CDE staff and local educational agencies (LEAs) to provide ongoing training and technical assistance related to the requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).
Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Knowledge of the grant award process
Experience with Web pages and data analysis
Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments
Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Strong ability to assume a lead position for a project from beginning to end
