The reporting location for this position is the One Capitol Mall building in Sacramento. This position will work under the direction of the Assistant Deputy Director for Acquisition and Development at the Northern Service Center. The duties include preparing and reviewing architectural designs and plans, researching costs, construction methods, and structural, electrical and mechanical engineering as it relates to historic structures. Knowledge of historic architecture as it relates to the Secretary of Interiors Standards, the California Building Code, the State Historic Building Code and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations is desirable. Candidates must have experience using AutoCAD and Architectural Desktop and strong organizational skills to assist with drafting systems support and management, production and quality control. A valid certificate as an Architect by California State Board of Architectural Examiners is required. Please provide proof of eligibility with your application. State housing is not available.
