Title: STATE PARK INTERPRETER I Salary: $20.16 - $24.51 Posted: 06/07/2013
The reporting location for this position is Fort Humboldt State Historic Park in Eureka. This position will work under the direction of the District Interpretive Specialist on a wide variety of interpretive initiatives throughout the District and will be supervised by the District Services Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and oversight of interpretive programs, including Redwood Ecology PORTS program, curriculum development, and the training and evaluation of interpretive staff. Candidate will assist the District Interpretive Specialist in the areas of strategic planning, grant development, project management, and statistical methodology. Candidate will be well versed in redwood science and North Coast American Indian culture, and will have expertise in computer graphics and interpretive writing. This position may work up to 1500 hours per year. State housing is not available.
