Job Description:
The reporting location for this position is the Ocotillo Wells District located near Borrego Springs. This position will work under the direction of the District Superintendent. The incumbent is responsible for all components of the District’s Administrative functions. Duties of this position include supervision of accounting clerical staff, contracts, concessions, fiscal budget tracking, Workers’ Compensation, housing, hiring, separations, leave records reconciliation, payroll problems, permanent and seasonal timekeeping, employee appraisals, and personnel actions including adverse actions. Excellent analytical ability and verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as ability to interact with staff at all levels and park visitors. The successful candidate should have a grasp for details in the areas of contracting, purchasing, budgeting and personnel. This position is a District core staff member and will work closely with the District Superintendent, Sector Superintendents, Park Maintenance Chief and District Services Manager.
