DUTIES

The Nutrition Services Division (NSD) mission is to assist agencies in meeting the nutritional needs of school children in preschool through grade 12, infants and children in child care institutions, and elderly or chronically impaired adults in adult day care centers. The NSD operates the Pomona Distribution Center that services counties in Southern California. The distribution center processes frozen, cool, and dry U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foods. The Warehouse Worker is responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, and loading the USDA Foods for distribution to agencies and schools enrolled in the National School Lunch Program.

REQUIREMENT

Valid Class “C” Driver License

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Must be willing to work in frozen and cold storage areas for long periods of time

**Due to federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, Warehouse Workers are required to have forklift experience and will be trained, tested, and certified if selected.

Possession of minimum qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the minimum qualifications, the applicant will be removed from the eligibility list.

Candidates MUST include PI WW-PDC on the title section of your state application, otherwise your application may not be considered for an interview.
