This is a permanent position located in a Board Member’s Sacramento Office. This position serves as a primary Business Taxes program consultant to the Board Member to assist the constitutional officer in carrying out the duties of her position. The formal actions of the Board are categorized as administrative, quasi-legislative, and judicial. The incumbent assists the elected official during adjudicatory deliberations, in making informed programmatic decisions, and applying laws, regulations, and Board of Equalization (BOE) policies and procedures to matters reviewed by the Board member’s office. Acts as the Board Member’s technical advisor in matters involving Sales and Use Tax, local tax, transactions tax, and Special Taxes and Fees laws, regulations and annotations. The position is located in a high-rise building.Travel required 5% of the time.
