This position will represent the program regulatory needs in the operation, support, and maintenance of several tools developed to support the implementation of diesel equipment and greenhouse gas regulations. This position will coordinate with staff from ARB’s Office of Information Services on the day-to-day operations of these tools across the supported regulatory areas on various tasks, including, but not limited to, responding to issues identified by regulatory staff and external users; addressing maintenance, support, development, and administrative tasks; and ensuring that ARB objectives and regulatory requirements are met. The supported regulations include, but are not limited to, transportation refrigeration units, drayage trucks, the portable equipment registration program, and landfill methane. The ability to develop a strong working knowledge of these regulatory programs is critical to success. Duties will also include assisting with the development of control measures, and assisting local air districts and other stakeholders in the implementation of control measures. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who has experience working in a collaborative environment, and leadership skills in technical analyses, implementation of regulatory programs, and project and program management.


The most competitive candidates will have a strong knowledge of project and program management best practices; have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; have excellent written and verbal communication skills; possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills; have a strong customer service focus; be able to work effectively individually as well as part of a team and take independent action when needed. The successful candidate must also be adaptable to changing priorities, be able to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical staff, and able to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner. The successful candidate must also be highly motivated, self-starting, enthusiastic, demonstrate initiative, and have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of the systems development life cycle, SharePoint, and project management software a plus.
