Job Description:
Under general supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator II, Taxpayers’ Rights Advocates Office, Taxpayers' Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity Division, the Tax Technician I (TTI) learns and performs less difficult and complex technical duties. The incumbent will perform a wide variety of routine advisory services to taxpayers and other governmental agencies by phone or in writing, and is responsible for performing a variety of technical functions for the Taxpayers' Rights Advocate (TRA) Office. The TTI may be the first contact with the TRA Office and must exercise tact and good judgment. The TTI is responsible for working on technical assignments or assisting staff in communicating with taxpayers. On a routine basis, the TTI will assist staff with research on taxpayer account history and will perform other related duties as necessary. Candidate must be able to perform the essential job functions (*) with or without reasonable accommodation. The incumbent will receive an additional $100.00 per month pay differential. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. The position is located in a high-rise building.
