Job Description:
The reporting location for this position is the Willow Creek Maintenance Shop at Sonoma Coast State Park. This position will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Supervisor for roads, trails and equipment programs, and under the lead of the Park Maintenance Worker I (Trail Crew Leader). The Skilled Laborer performs technical and skilled construction activities involving all aspects of trail construction and the construction and maintenance of various structures in the park environment. This includes resource sensitive historic sites and facilities and vegetation management in sensitive natural resource areas. This position will also provide leadership and oversight for other workers, park volunteers and California Conservation Corps crews working in parks within the District. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who possess the required technical skills and leadership abilities. There are two vacant positions available. State housing is not available.
