The Board of Equalization is looking for a motivated individual with superior written and verbal communication skills to develop, implement, and manage the Board of Equalization (BOE) information security program that supports business operations and aligns with the BOE mission, goals, and objectives. Under the general direction of the Deputy Director, Administration, the incumbent will act as the Chief Information Security Officer and will lead the department’s implementation of the Information Security Risk Management Program (ISRMP), and ensure the BOE is compliant with all applicable legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements. The candidate should have knowledge and experience with network and host-based security strategies and methodologies; risk assessments and analysis; incident response; information security awareness and education; and a strong technical background with experience and knowledge of application layer security, knowledge of operating systems, networking protocols, intrusion detection/protection, active content, malware, defense in depth, and separation of duties. The candidate should possess one or more information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, GIAC. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. This position works in a high-rise building.
