Job Description:

Under close supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator II, Taxpayers' Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity Division, the Tax Technician I learns and performs the less difficult and complex technical duties. The incumbent will perform a wide variety of routine advisory services to taxpayers and other governmental agencies by phone or in writing, and is responsible for performing a variety of technical functions for the Taxpayers' Rights Advocate (TRA) Office. The TTI may be the first contact with the TRA Office and is responsible for working on technical assignments or assisting staff in communicating with taxpayers. On a routine basis, the TT II will assist staff with research on taxpayer account history. Perform other related duties as necessary. The incumbent will receive an additional $100.00 per month pay differential.Travel required 10% of the time. Candidate must be able to perform the essential job functions (*) with or without reasonable accommodation. The position is located in a high-rise building.
