Job Description:
The reporting location for this position is the Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) in Sacramento. This position will work under the direction of the Supervisor of the Local Government Unit (LGU). The incumbent’s duties include developing an annual work plan and schedule for OHP-wide education and outreach; developing and planning education and outreach materials and programs regarding preservation at the local level of government; sharing responsibilities with other LGU staff for coordinating and administering the Certified Local Government Program; developing program guidelines and office policies to assist local governments in carrying out their California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) responsibilities and providing comments on CEQA documents on projects identified by the State Historic Preservation Officer; and coordinating and administering the OHP’s role in the Main Street and Preserve America programs.
