This position supervises staff working on the forefront of emerging and complicated tax issues. The supervisor plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the activities of the BTC Unit involving the resolution of tax program issues; developing policy, procedural, regulatory and legislative proposals; preparing documentary support and explaining these issues and proposals to Board Members and interested parties; providing technical advice to SUTD management, executive management, Board Members, legislators and public groups on the application of the sales and use tax laws, policies, procedures and practices to the most complex tax issues and effect on audit and compliance programs; maintaining sales and use tax annotations, operations memoranda, and manuals.
