Job Description:
Under the direction of the Supervising Tax Auditor III, the Office Technician (Typing) performs specific duties to provide skilled clerical support to the Board of Equalization. The position is primarily responsible for time keeping, processing of time reports, preparing personnel forms and changes, ordering supplies, auditor travel arrangements, processing the incoming and out going mail as well as cashiering duties and for the verification of the mathematical accuracy of audit reports. The Office Technician is also responsible for the uploading/typing of the audit report which is the final step in preparing the audit findings for presentation to the taxpayer and for transmittal of the report to Headquarters for the issuance of a determination. The incumbent will receive $346.00 per month pay differential. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
