Under the direction of the Supervising Investigator, the incumbent independently conducts the most sensitive, complex and diverse administrative criminal investigations against the vocational and professional licentiates of the boards and bureaus within the Department of Consumer Affairs professional investigations, such as wrongful death, sexual misconduct, narcotics, major fraud, embezzlement, unprofessional conduct and unlicensed activity.Additionally, the incumbent must qualify and carry a firearm.
Certificate of Completion from POST, Basic or Specialized Academy; ability to perform the full range of peace officer duties as specified in Penal Code 830.3; undergo a background investigation, and have a valid California driver license.
Title 11, section 703D California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI).Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position are required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring.
