JOB DESCRIPTION :
We are looking for self directed, enthusiastic, and positive people to join the Multi Contact Resolution Unit in the Correspondence Analysis Support and Education Section. We have the following opportunities:

Power of Attorney (POA) Under the general direction of a Tax Program Supervisor and the technical direction of a Tax Program Technician II you perform a variety of duties in support of our POA workload. The incumbent is responsible for processing POA Declarations and responding to requests from taxpayers and their representatives, as well as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The workload activities include entering data from the various POA forms into a computerized database and generating letters to educate taxpayers and their representatives when requests are incomplete.

Inventory Clerk Under the general direction of a Customer Service Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing varied clerical duties related to the preparation of work and data management for inventory services, including utilizing technology solutions to categorize work, maintain inventory records, process incoming and outgoing workload figures and provide support services for the section.

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of FTB systems (TI, BETS) and data entry skills
  • Experience and success working in a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and customer service oriented with commitment to a taxpayer centric approach.
  • Ability to accept and utilize constructive feedback
  • Excellent communication skills (Both oral and written).

WHO MAY APPLY :
Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
