The incumbent must have a general knowledge of operating various office equipment. Must have the ability to follow and adhere to policies and procedures: maintain accurate records. Must be able to take action independently, make recommendations, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Should have knowledge and /or experience with E-FIS, the Advantage Financial System, and Cal-Card Procedures, as identified in the Cal-Card User’s Handbook. Must be able to work closely and effectively with others and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must be a team player.
Work independently, keep accurate, up to date records; handle multiple, varied assignments in an efficient and organized manner. Must have appropriate phone skills and computer literacy, as well as the ability to effectively use various computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and the ability to learn basic new software programs. Incumbent must be flexible regarding job assignments and interruptions. Must have the ability to develop insight into situations and apply innovative solutions to make organizational improvements.
