JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general direction of the Mailing Machine Supervisor II, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling and directing the processing activities of the department’s outgoing mail. As a working supervisor performs mail processing and support activities. Coordinates the workload flow and staffing assignments. Provides inputs to the MMO II as it relates to units operational needs and budget projections. Monitors daily workload and output expectations routinely. Oversees job priorities for best utilization of staff. Provides weekly and monthly reports, graphs and spreadsheets. Generates strong team environment.
Position is Swing Shift 3:00p.m to 11:30p.m.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Ability to supervise staff and provide them with the guidance to complete their responsibilities.

Ability to work with staff, and departmental staff at all levels

Knowledge of mailing and metering machines and UPS equipment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience working with sensitive and confidential material
Experience with HR related systems such as Timeportal, EAMS, Personnel Leave, and TEMPS
Familiarity with the workplan and budget process.
