The Division of Water Rights (Division) has two openings for a temporary, Seasonal Clerk to work in the Division of Water Rights Fee and Data Management Unit.
Duties: Under the direction of a Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent will update ownership, address and agent change information for Water Rights by utilizing Division files, internet resources, public records from county assessor or Parcel Quest, and by review of incoming correspondence. Incumbent will update records in eWRIMS, notify new owners of changes, and prepare notifications of changes to the Board of Equalization for billing purposes. Incumbent will organize and track incoming phone messages in a Microsoft Access database, respond to calls related to water rights fees and the annual and triennial online reporting, and respond to other general water rights questions as necessary. Incumbent will also assist with miscellaneous clerical tasks for Division staff including data entry, photocopying and scanning, and assist with audio visual presentations. Incumbent will prepare and mail correspondence, and perform other duties as required.
Desirable Qualifications: Applicants must be able to function in a multi-task, high-volume environment and to respond to multiple priorities and deadlines. The applicant must possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with sensitivity for customer service. Other desired qualifications include strong organizational, computer (MS Office), and written communication skills, accuracy, integrity, and dependability.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must possess the ability to read and write English and to do simple arithmetic computations.
