Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Chief, Taxpayers’ Rights and Equal Opportunity Division, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) acts as liaison between the Appeals Division, Board staff and the Tax Appeals Assistance Program (TAAP). In addition, the AGPA is responsible for ensuring taxpayer case information and student correspondence (letters, briefs, postponements, etc) are managed and processed in a timely manner to ensure the program operates without any unnecessary interruptions to meet time sensitive deadlines. The AGPA assists the Tax Counsel III in researching legal requirements ensuring all statutory, judicial and administrative deadlines are met. The AGPA also ensures there is no conflict of interest between the Appeals Division and TAAP by updating and monitoring the TAAP database. In addition, the AGPA is responsible for the development of a successful outreach program to ensure the integrity and success of TAAP is met. The position is located in a high-rise building.
