Job Description: The Position: The Secretary of State is seeking one permanent, full-time Program Technician III in the Notary Public & Special Filings Section. Working hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Duties: Examine various trademarks and service marks forms and special filings documents for compliance with legal requirements. Research, analyze, interpret and apply laws relating to various forms/documents. Advise customers, both orally and by written correspondence, as to form/document deficiencies. Respond, both orally and in writing, to the most difficult and/or sensitive technical inquiries and to inquiries as they relate to forms/documents processed. Discuss and assist customers with regards to requirements, related laws, and recommended appropriate actions. Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Act as an expert resource responsible for the most sensitive and difficult Program Technician work processes.
Desirable Qualifications: Ability to interact effectively with the public and agency personnel. Ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, work independently, and have the willingness to learn new duties. Exercise sound professional judgment and behavior. Accept responsibility for actions when completing tasks and dealing with both internal and external customers. Punctuality and good attendance are essential.
