Job Description:
Under general direction and with very little day-to-day supervision, the Tax Technician III serves as the expert staff resource and performs the most difficult and complex technical compliance duties. Incumbent will contact taxpayers and explain the nature of the delinquency and obtain a commitment to clear the delinquency. Establish appropriate follow-ups and make further timely contact when appropriate. Incumbent will contact tax debtors to collect selected delinquent accounts receivables. Recommend appropriate collection action. Candidate must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Meeting the training requirements for this position may require overnight travel for up to five consecutive nights. Position may become permanent. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. The incumbent will receive an additional $100.00 per month pay differential. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted.
