Job Description: THE POSITION: The Secretary of State, Political Reform Division is seeking one permanent full-time Program Technician. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The agency is located in downtown Sacramento near Light Rail, Downtown Plaza, and other amenities.
DUTIES: Contact with the public and filers (at the counter and over the phone), providing basic lobbying and campaign information; perform a cursory review of and date-stamp documents received at the public counter; receive monies and provide receipts; answer and direct telephone calls; fill public order requests; photocopy, alphabetize, and file documents; maintain files; use the Division’s Automated Management System database; participate in various office projects; perform other duties as required.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to interact effectively with the public and staff; good verbal communication skills; good organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines; flexibility and willingness to learn new duties; basic typing skills; physically able to file; a working knowledge of office equipment; good math and English skills.
