JOB DESCRIPTION :
As a TPT II in the ARM Division, you may be required to create and maintain reports for management. You will support the collection efforts by pre-processing collection cases to locate better addresses and phone numbers. You may also respond to inbound phone calls. You will be independently responsible for processing the most complex transactions and expected to consistently exercise a high degree of independence and initiative. You may also locate payer numbers for your team. You will support the Missing Year efforts by entering data into a database, maintaining the tickler file and sorting the incoming mail.
Under the general direction of an Administrator I or a Tax Program Supervisor, the incumbent performs as a Technical Lead or Technical Team Member in the Business Entities and Personal Income Tax programs within the ARM Division:
Technical Lead: Lead responsibilities include quality review and development of Tax Program Technicians I and Tax Program Assistants. You provide input for probationary and annual performance review process; develop new or revise procedures and provide training for the various workloads. You may be required to serve as a representative in meetings and perform the most complex transactions while answering questions from staff. You will also be responsible for assisting management with the analysis of workflows, processes, procedures and systems.
Technical Team Member: The Technical Team Member is independently responsible for processing the most complex work and is expected to consistently exercise a high degree of independence and initiative. You will also serve as a technical expert for new systems and/or special projects. You may be asked to represent your group on issues that impact the various units and sections throughout the Department.

Knowledge of Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Business Entity (BE) laws, rules and regulations administered by the Franchise Tax Board.
Working knowledge and experience in BETS, TI, ARCS, INC, DMV, BOE and SOS
Effective analytical, technical, time management, and organizational skills
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and problem solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain cooperative working relationships with others at all levels.
