The State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Financial Assistance, has three (3) openings for part-time, temporaryScientific Aids.
DUTIES: Under direct supervision and consistent with good customer service practices and goals of the State and Regional Water Quality Control Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, following through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments.
Review and draft technical reports including those relating to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Review Environmental documents. Maintain and update database systems. Respond to correspondence including emails and letters. Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a valid driver license issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. (Applicants must secure the license prior to appointment). Education: Equivalent to completion of two years of college with a minimum of 10 semester hours in relevant scientific course work, i.e., environmental studies, Geology, or Engineering. Candidates must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel and PowerPoint), and have excellent written and verbal skills.
