Note: Los Angeles Communications Center (LACC) is on a
3/12 alternate work week and quarterly sign-ups are based on a seniority
basis. LACC is located in the most northern portion of Los Angeles, between
the cities of Glendale and Pasadena.
In addition to salary, Public Safety
Dispatch Supervisor Is (PSDS I) assigned to LACC receive $300.00 per month
recruitment and retention pay.
Duties: Planning, organizing, and assigning work to
communications center personnel; ability to work a variety of shifts -
including holidays and weekends; prepare performance evaluations, monthly CHP
100PSD forms, citizens' complaints, injury and illness reports; monitor/manage
critical incidents; ability to perform dispatch duties using VisiCAD; provide
direction and assistance to subordinate personnel and other duties as
Desirable Qualifications: Ability to prepare staff work with little or no direction;
manage multiple projects; effective time management skills and above-average
interpersonal skills. Will be expected to report to work on time, with a
minimum number of absences.
