Job Description:
**IMPORTANT NOTICE** As required by the department's rules of conduct, all employees of the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) must be in compliance with the California revenue and taxation code. JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the direction of the Administrator II, the individual who fill this position will become a valuable member of the ARM Division Career Center Training Team. The incumbent will be involved in every facet of the training process. This will include the development of new courses, including EDR. In addition, the trainers update and work to improve existing courses and prepare and present materials before staff from throughout the department. The incumbent must be committed to providing quality customer service while enjoying what they do and whom they work with on a daily basis. The Career Center Training Team is committed to providing training in a new and innovative manner.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
  • • Minimum of two years experience in PIT Collections/Contact Center at the FTB.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Previous training or presentation opportunities either in government or private sector.
  • Ability to speak confidently in front of a group or class.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to adjust to changing situations and priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Flexible and creative.

WHO MAY APPLY :
Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
