Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, (IMPC Manager), the Office Service Supervisor II (Mailing Supervisor) is responsible for the supervision of the Messenger Services/Bulk Mailing/Mail Sorting sub-unit, a large processing unit of warehouse workers, office assistants, and mailing machines operators, and during peak workload periods, additional permanent intermittent and/or seasonal staff. The OSS-II is responsible for planning, organizing and directing, to their timely and satisfactory conclusion, all functions of the sub-unit, including sorting of incoming mail; outgoing bulk mailing job operations; inventory of mailing supplies; pickup and delivery of mail and taxpayer records; metering of outgoing mail; and monitoring and internal distribution of return mail. This position is located in a high-rise building. Training and development assignments may be considered. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted.
