Under general supervision, the incumbent independently conducts the most difficult and complex audits, typically consisting of the largest industrial corporations; makes audit appointments; meets with taxpayers and their representatives; explains the audit findings; and prepares appropriate audit reports and performs other related duties as necessary. This position may be required to rotate into the audit review position. Meeting the job required training for this position may require overnight travel for up to five consecutive nights. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.

What experiences have you had that involved a) Statistical Sampling b) downloading electronic data c) working with CAS? 3) A BTS I is often directed to act as a lead auditor. What experiences have you had in serving as a lead auditor on an audit assignment(s) in which you directed the work of an assistant? Have you served as a trainer of an auditor(s)?
