Job Description:
Under close supervision of the Business Taxes Administrator I of the Special Taxes Policy and Compliance Division, the Office Assistant (General) will perform basic clerical functions such as phone reception, sorting, filing and reproduction tasks. Additionally, the employee will distribute mail, and prepare, scan and index all documents relating to Special Taxes Policy and Compliance Division programs. The position is located in a high-rise building. A LEAP Certification List will be utilized. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. Special Requirements: Please include the position number on your application under the “Job Title” section. In addition, please submit your answers to the Supplemental Questionnaire. Failure to do so will cause your application to be disqualified. Supplemental Questionnaire: 1) Using your own experiences, describe the steps or any processes you have used in the past to handle irate phone calls. 2) Describe your experience in resolving competing priority assignments. 3) Please describe your experience and knowledge of computer programs.
