• Applications will be evaluated based on eligibility and desirable qualifications and interviews may be scheduled.
Provides analytical support services for the Director, Deputy Director and Staff Services Managers. Utilizes a wide variety of applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and the Internet. Communicates on a regular basis with the Governor’s Office, Legislature, State and Consumer Services Agency, and Department of General Services (DGS) Executive Office. Independently, or with general instructions, analyzes and prepares written documents which include instructional or procedural information and guidelines relating to statewide office procedures and policies such as accepting service of subpoenas, use of electronic signatures, and processing cases. Coordinates uniformity throughout all of OAH’s regional offices for processes such as use of Practice Manager, use of standardized templates, and other electronic processes. Responds to requests for information on established programs and policies; gathers, analyzes and summarizes case data for various programs and participates as a member of the Administrative staff which includes providing input at meetings and preparing summaries as requested.
In order to participate on special projects and teams for the development of business process improvements for all OAH offices statewide incumbent will:
Performs responsible and confidential analytical assignments with latitude for independent action involving personnel or case related review.
Provides review and summary of internal and external reports relating to accounting, budgets, workflow, staffing and other similar subjects of concern to management at OAH, including findings and recommendations to management and staff since incumbent is expected to be well versed in the principles, practices, and trends of public and business administration.

Knowledge of: Principles, practices, and trends of public and business administration, management, and supportive staff services such as budgeting, personnel, and management analysis; and government functions and organization. ,
Ability to: Reason logically and creatively and utilize a variety of analytical techniques to resolve complex governmental and managerial problems; develop and evaluate alternatives; analyze data and present ideas and information effectively; consult with and advise administrators or other interested parties on a wide variety of subject-matter areas; and gain and maintain the confidence and cooperation of those contacted during the course of work.
In order to provide office support the incumbent will:
Prepare reviews and maintains DGS-1 Authorization forms for all OAH staff and prepares updates as requested by the Director, Deputy Director, Presiding Administrative Law Judges, Staff Services Managers, and Legal Support Supervisors. Manages OAH’s Department of Motor Vehicles records and reports by requesting employee driver records, submits ALJ confidentiality forms, and ensures employee completion of annual renewals of “use of private vehicle” forms. Also coordinates telework and alternate work week agreements and advises management and staff of upcoming renewal dates or changes to policy.
Coordinate collection of annual State bar dues statements from ALJs, Presiding ALJs, Deputy Director, and Director, OAH and processes statements to ensure appropriate charges. Requests collective payment and communicates with the State bar to confirm payment is applied accurately to each member.
