Under the general direction of the Office Services Supervisor II, the Mailing Machines Operator II performs a variety of mail processing duties to support the functions and responsibilities of the bulk mail unit. The incumbent will operate the most complex multi-function machinery including but not limited to inserters, postage meters, and various folding and strapping machines. The Mailing Machines Operator II will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail in a timely and effective manner and for providing mail processing support for the Board of Equalization. SROA/Surplus will be given priority. Applicants must submit STD 678 Application. Applicant must have a valid CA Drivers License. Applications must be received by final filing date. Special Requirements: In addition to the STD 678, response to the following questions must be submitted with your application: 1. Describe your experience in operating a bulk mail inserter machine. Please specify the type(s) of mail inserters that you have worked with. 2. At the end of a run, you will be required to clear deck or clear line. Please describe what this entails. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires that incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered; however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
