Under the direction of the Parolees At Large (PALs) Unit Supervisor, Parole Agent III, and the Office of Correctional Safety (OCS) Administrator, the Parole Agent I, performs a variety of duties associated with the investigation, location, and apprehension of PALs, including:Assists in the targeting and referral of PALs for investigation and apprehension. Initiates investigations via automated and manual file searches, collateral interviews, information sharing with law enforcement, contacts with public and private agencies, and periodic surveillance. Organizes and assists in apprehension efforts of PALs with other Parole Agents, law enforcement, and in multi-agency task force operations. Prepares appropriate reports for administrative, Board of Prison Terms and judicial review. Prepares all other Departmental reports as required.
