Job Description:

The Nutrition Services Division (NSD) is looking for a dynamic, committed professional to join our team, to supervise support staff at the Sacramento Distribution Center (SDC). You would be responsible for supervising a talented group of support staff that provide administrative and program support for the food distribution process in the NSD. You would be a member of a dedicated supervisory team that works closely together to ensure statewide distribution of U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foods to participating food program sponsors.

This Office Services Supervisor II is responsible for directing and monitoring the work of support and technical staff that facilitate administrative and programmatic operations for the SDC, maintain inventory control, and post and monitor freight invoices and billing information. The incumbent reviews the office staff work product for accuracy, monitors ledgers, finalizes reports, supervises the employee time and attendance process, and consults with the Warehouse Manager II to interpret USDA policies and regulations. In addition, the incumbent generates revenue for the Food Distribution Program by monitoring and contacting agencies regarding delinquent accounts. The supervisor also works with the SDC Associate Information Systems Analyst on various automated processes.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
