The West Covina Field Office is seeking an enthusiastic and independent team player with a positive attitude for public contact and customer service. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to create a positive image of courtesy, respect, and professionalism, be adaptable to change, and complete work assignments independently within established timeframes with only general direction and/or minimal supervision. The duties of the position include conducting driving performance evaluations to determine whether examinees possess at least the minimum level of skills and knowledge required to operate a motor vehicle, administering and scoring vision tests and general knowledge examinations, and performing other related duties. Position may require rotation through neighboring field offices.

Possession of a valid Class C or above driver license, participation in the DMV Employee Pull Notice Program and two-part medical clearance are required. This is a sensitive position and may be subject to substance testing.
Work week is Monday through Friday. Saturday and/or extended office hours may be required.
Bilingual skills preferred, but not required.
Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance required before hire. Selected candidate will be required to participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program. This is a sensitive position and may be subject to substance testing. Two part medical. “This position(s) may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resource Branch.” A training & development assignment will not be considered.
