To be eligible for consideration you must meet the minimum qualifications. You must have passed the examination for this classification and be in a reachable rank on a current certified list, or a current state employee eligible to transfer. A valid Class C drivers license is required. Must pass a medical exam and drug screening prior to hire, and, if hired, will be placed in random drug pool.
As an integral part of our team, under supervision, you will operate specified vehicles requiring a valid Class C drivers license. Working individually or with a crew unit performing tasks related to highway and landscape maintenance, you will assist in removing debris from roadways utilizing many different hand tools. Help load and unload trucks when necessary. In performance of above duties, you must be able to do repeat lifting, stooping and bending 80% of the time and may be required to lift between 50# and 80#. May be required to work overtime, irregular work shifts and or alternate work schedules including nights, holidays and weekends; may be required to work temporary and or intermittent varied work shifts and required to respond to emergency situations and calls. You may assist daily in van assignments and job assignments for Special Programs People.
