JOB DESCRIPTION :
FTB collects ($60 Billion/ annually) the most revenue for the state of California and has a strong track record with Information Technology. The INC system is a complex, distributed client-server application used by FTB staff to identify and contact taxpayers who have failed to file a California tax return. Under general supervision, you will work independently as a technical specialist on complex components of the INC application, which includes but is not limited to web services, EJB’s, SWING GUI, object oriented design principles and multiple interfaces with other departmental systems. You may also work on departmental teams representing the INC Development team and on occasion act as project leader. Ocassionally, you will be required to make oral and written presentations to both staff and/or management (ex. Code Design Walk Throughs).
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
At least 3 years of experience developing, maintaining and enhancing complex Java Applications
At least 1 year of experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex J2EE/Java EE applications
Experience with one or more Java application servers (examples: WebLogic, WebSphere, GlassFish, etc.
Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse, IBM WebSphere Studio, RAD, etc.
Strong knowledge and experience of relational databases (e.g., EB2, Oracle, SWL server) including the ability to write complex SQL queries
Ability to work successfully in a team environment while demonstrating initiative, integrity, ownership, and accountability
Knowledge in systems analysis, design, coding, unit testing and integration testing
Ability to produce well written documentation and provide good verbal communication using tact and exercises good judgment
Working knowledge and experience with HTML/XML
